Getting here
Driving: It’s a long way – but certainly nice to have your own wheels, especially for a long stay holiday.
There is one year-round ferry servicing Spain: Brittany Ferries’ Portsmouth – Santander route. It travels twice-weekly and takes 28.5 – 33 hours. The Dover-Calais crossing obviously makes for a longer drive, but the service is frequent and the road trip itself allows some incredible stop offs along the way.
Flying: Malaga and Gibraltar are the nearest airports. Shuttles are included in our 80-day packages. If public transport is more your speed, a bus goes directly from Malaga Airport to Estepona and costs just short of €12.
Hiring a car – even if just for a week or so – is a good idea, as it gives you plenty of freedom to roam around and see the sights on offer. We can help you to arrange this in town when you get to us, or you can organise directly from the airport yourself.
