There are also plenty of things you can do in the evening. For example, take a stroll to a typical Spanish restaurant in one of Estepona’s cobbled streets. Where you can enjoy a meal or a drink and a tapa. Spanish people tend to eat out later than other Europeans, so you’ll find it’s busier between 9pm and 10.30 pm.
Lunch is normally served from about 1pm until 4pm. Look out for establishments that have menu of the day. These menus usually consist of 3 courses and a drink for under 12 euros a head.
Visit the Peña Flamenco on one of the evenings they have music and dancing which is usually about once a week.
You can also take a trip to the Felipe VI theatre. It’s not just Spanish performers that appear you can listen to classical music, see a tribute band, or watch a magic show.
Winter is much more comfortable in Spain because although it can get cold it doesn’t last for long and there are always dry days with sunshine. A real treat if you prefer outdoor living.
